Summary: Life
Comment: A drama, not a comedy. Sure there are a few laughs, but considering the amount of trajedy, death, and cruel treatment, this is far from a comedy. I don't consider "Cool Hand Luke" a comedy either, do you? This is however. a pretty decent story and if you can stand almost non-stop foul language (some people are under the false impression this makes them sound tough) it is worth a rental for adults only. The subject matter and language makes me recommend this to adults only. The story centers around two young men that have a bad string of luck by being found at a murder victims body by the sheriff that killed him. Add to that they are transporting moonshine and off they go to prison for life. Their life time there is spent with some interesting other prisoners, many as much victims of what most blacks suffered up until around the 1970s when their rights finally started to be recognised. Good quality DVD with some replayability. If you enjoyed this catch "Harlem Nights".

Comment: This movie will definately go down as a classic. It never gets old. This movie is so heart felt but at the same time you can never stop laughing. Martin and Eddie give one of there best performances. Bernie Mac is also unbelievable. Black movies do not get enough credit! This movie is one of the best black comedies period! "You gon eat yo cone bread" I bust out laughing just saying it. ONELUV

Summary: Life is funny, Life is great....
Comment: This movie is perhaps Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence's Sistine Chapel. That is a bold statement but this movie is so funny and such a good, well made movie. There are endless funny moments in this movie. I might be being biased because I love timeline movies a lot (ex. FORREST GUMP). This movie will also make you cry from sadness and laughter. I laughed out loud many times and (ALMOST) cried from emotion.
The movie has an all-star cast as well which can sometimes be disastrous (ex.NOTHING BUT TROUBLE). It hits every angle possible and could not have been done any better for what it was. And that is one great, funny movie that is one of my all-time favorites.

Comment: I ordered "Life" for my mom, when I told her she can get great deals on Amazon, she didn't believe me. Until we received the DVD. It came sealed and it looked brand new. Keep up the great work. We will only use Amazon FOREVER!! Thank you.
