U-Clean Stainless Steel Tongue Cleaner's "U" shape effectively removes plaque/ bacteria coating (yellow color coating which causes bad breath) from your tongue, particularly, from the back where toothbrushes can not reach. A mouthwash or oral rinse such as TriOral can be effective in neutralizing the odor casuing bacteria but does not physically remove it. For best results, clean your tongue twice daily. For best oral health experts suggest that you (1) brush your teeth,(2) clean your tongue, (3) floss between teeth, and (4) use a fluoride mouth rinse daily. Your mouth will feel fresh - Guaranteed. Summary: Stainless steel tongue cleaner a winner!
Comment: I have used different tongue cleaners for some time since my dentist convinced me that it was essential for the best oral hygiene. The other cleaners were made of plastic and were of different designs and they worked, but not as well as this cleaner. I know that this product cleans better than the plastic types and it is much easier to use with none of the less-than-pleasant sensations that I experienced with the plastic cleaners. The device is also much easier to clean and my experience is that stainless doesn't tend to harbor bacteria and other less than desirable elements that the plastic ones might.
If you have never used a tongue cleaner, I strongly suggest that you try it. Certainly there is a tendency to gag at first, but that, for me, quickly passed. I am much more assured that my breath doesn't have an awful smell because of the garbage that is lurking on it from some past meal.
In addition, the Amazon store from which these cleaners were purchased was most helpful and responsive. One of the best items I have purchased in a while!
