Summary: This is more than just a gay magazine!
Comment: Yes reFRESH is hot, sexy, hip and happening. But it's also smart, current and features talented contributing writers like Steven Gdula, Tim Parks and Eric Arvin. Not to mention the addition of a certain gay novelist who will be writing a humorous and irreverent advice column about sex, love and dating each issue. reFRESH is FRESH!

Summary: GIVE ME A BREAK !!
Comment: According to the publisher, this magazine is, "Designed ""for fashionably gay men,"" Refresh reports on culture, lifestyle, and travel and offers tips and advice on fashion, hair, and interior design."..Perhaps someone would like to explain to me what this means. As I see it, the magazine is targeted at clones who want to reaffirm their "status" in the gay community. The concept is INSULTING to anyone but their targeted audience, and is a means of perpetuating the idea that only one type of gay man is desirable. It also creates a stereotype that few can achieve. In so doing, it diminishes the importance and integrity of those who do not match the type, and creates a level of self-importance and exclusivity that is beyond normal comprehension. Even the subscription price is AFFECTED. Who in their right mind would pay that much for a soft-porn glossy parading as a "style" rag? THINK TWICE AND PERHAPS THRICE (damn, I got caught up in the pomposity of it all) BEFORE YOU SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS ON THIS TRASH.
