Customer Rating: Summary: This concealer is awesome! Comment: I have been using drug store concealers for years...and I will never go back. This concealer not only covers dark circles under my eyes, it is great for covering up redness from blemishes. There is NO caked on look or feel to it. One thing I want to point out is that you should buy the Secret Camouflage Brush to go with it. There is a big difference in applying it by the brush vs. applying it by your fingers!
Customer Rating: Summary: It's only "secret" because you can't see it on your skin! Comment: I have this concealer in #2 and when I first received it, I thought it might be too dark. When I actually applied it, there was the most incredible melding of this product with my skintone (pale olive, about a MAC NC20). The key to using this product is to realize that it was created for the undereye area, and you need to pat a setting powder (I prefer LM's Brightening powder)on it after application. Laura's other products are amazing, and this one is certainly no exception.
Customer Rating: Summary: Have Used It Four Years . . . Comment: but it's always been a bit sticky to deal with. You need to let it warm up on your fingers before using the heavy concealer and the lighter concealer slips a bit. I've just switched to Becca because of it's good reviews. What I really need is a plastic surgeon to fix the dark circles !
Customer Rating: Summary: ok Comment: Not much better than concealers I have bought at a drugstore. It sometimes even gets cakey and I don't really even put on that much. Of course I did not buy the overpriced applicator brush so maybe that's the reason, I don't know. They want too much money for this product in my opinion.
Customer Rating: Summary: A BEAUTY EDITOR'S PICK Comment: In her recent book "Free Gift With Purchase," the Beauty Editor of Lucky Magazine, Jean Godfrey-June, writes: "I'd like to say in every issue that Laura Mercier's concealer is the best....."
I'll second that.
Mercier's pot of Secret Concealer is a bit of magic not only as a cover-up but its moisture-rich, emollient formula is also TLC for the dry, sensitive skin under our eyes. The addition of Vitamin E stays moisture loss while Vitamin A conditions skin.
Just a wee bit of Secret Concealer gives maximum coverage that looks totally natural as it banishes fine lines around the eyes and obscures any darkness or shadows beneath.
I'd recommend setting it with Mercier's Translucent Powder for long lasting day into evening cover.
