The Yaktrax Pro is new and been designed for the active winter person that needs increased durability while working, running or hiking. The Pro is made of a 100% natural rubber blend designed to give you increased durability and strength. The Pro comes with a removable performance strap to help keep you Yaktrax in place during use. The coils are stainless steel and are hand-wound to give you 360 degrees of traction on ice and snow. SMALL: Men's 5 to 8.5, Women's 6 to 10. MEDIUM: Men's 9 to 11, Women's 10.5 to 12.5. LARGE: Men's 11.5 to 13.5, Women's 13 to 15. X-LARGE: Men's 14+, Women's 15.5+. If the Yaktrax will be worn over heavy boots, add 1-2 sizes to your normal shoe size.

Comment: Another reviewer mentioned that they come off easily so I ordered a size that just made it around my boots. They don't come off and have given me confidence going out on icy roads. YakTrax have made my dog very happy too.

Summary: Yaktrax's are the best
Comment: Yaktrax's are unbeatable. They give the greatest traction in all icy conditions. I run a high mountain camp and have tried many ice traction devises. In icy conditions, CAUTION, is always the most important factor, no matter what the devise. In walking indoors all devises can be hazardous, it depends on the care you use while walking. My staff and I have used Yaktrax's for years. For inside staff, regular Yaktrax's are the best. They put them on to walk from their cabin or car to the office and pop them off once inside. For my outside staff, the Yaktrax Pro's can't be beat. They are rugged and don't ware out. The strap over the front of the boot keeps them in place in most situations. When coming inside it is best and easiest to slip the boots off and to step into indoor shoes. For long Life - take a little time - when putting "Trax's" on, make sure they slip into the grooves in the soles of the boots and if the end of a spring starts to catch, use a pair of pliers to squeeze it back into place. The Yaktrax Pro's I have on now have lasted me for three years and counting.

Comment: These are a great improvement on my previous pair of Yaktrax. They have a strap over the toe to keep them on your boot. I love these. If you have to walk on ice, you need these. Who wants to fall and make a fool of oneself?! Not me! At my age, I could just as easily bust a hip as bust a move.

Comment: I am in the military and stationed at ft richardson, AK and everyone around here has either a pair of yaktrax or standard issued spikes. Yaktrax are a very good product if you will only using them for moderate use. They are excellent for running on ice in gym shoes, and they are easy and quick to put on. They do not perform as well on smooth wet ice though. I went to the field for two days and had my yaktrax on for 48 straight hours and then ruck marched back to base, and discovered that my fairly new yaktrax ripped apart. I had only had them one month. Do not buy these if you plan on walking for distance over rough and varying terrain. Also, make sure you buy the models that come with the velcro strap. Many Soldiers lose them as they often fall off if your boots do not have a large enough lip on its sole for the yaktrax to secure around.
