Summary: Gives off a good amount of heat, doesn't cost a fortune to run
Comment: I purchased this when heating oil was $4.69 a gallon because electric heat was less expensive. I keep it because it does a great job in a small to medium room, is quiet, and uses very little electricity. A good backup for super cold NE winters, and it is easy to run off our generator when the power goes out. If you are looking for a good heater for one room, or to supplement another heating source for several rooms, this is a good buy and it is rated one of the better space heaters by the consumer reporting agencies. I found it to be reasonably quiet.
