This "stay put" Hair Pomade is ideal for waves, finger curls, up-dos, and short, sassy styles. Less oily and waxy than other pomades, it adds definition and staying power, and it scents the hair with a delicious combination of apple, peach, and pear.

Customer Rating: Summary: those with grade 4c-z hair - this might help edges Comment: you don't have to be black to have 4c hair. so those of you who have this grade of hair, how about giving this a try?
My beautician had finished cornrowing my hair, and showed me how to slick down the edges using gel a satin scarf, and 15 mins. under the hair dryer.
I just finished doing a wash and deep conditioner, and figured 15 mins. of heat with kizzi's should give me the same results - without the alcohol base of the gel or flaking.
so i took about a dime size of kizzi's pomade, and slicked down the edges that of course, bounced back up. and ran my pomaded palms over the cornrows.. put on my satin scarf, and sat under the dryer with a high heat setting (just like your deep conditioner) for about 10-15 mins. took off the scarf, edges are laid down, and cornrows are set and shiny...with no petroleum, flaking or alcohol..
for those who are afraid of heat, if you do a deep condition for 30-45 mins. once a week, then 15 extra mins. after you've dried and pomaded should not be a problem. the heat is not direct, nor is it like using a flat iron or hot comb. hope this helps..
Customer Rating: Summary: Carol's daughter Kizzi- I like this product but not for its intended purpose! Comment: I recently brought this product and I happen to like it a lot. I agree with the commenter above thought, I don't think it does a good job of slicking down natural ends. It is good for hair styles like dry twists or twist out. This hair kizzi is not very greasy and that is a good thing. At the same time it gives you plenty of moisture.
For the record I have 4a-4B textured hair.
Customer Rating: Summary: Just 2, one star seems too harsh. Comment: I'm Black and for my hair type, 4b, I try to use natural products on my hair and it didn't have those "no-no chemicals and oils" that are known to be damaging to black hair.
Well this product did not, as it advertised, which was to "stay put." I tried to use it with my hair clean and dry and then with my hair clean and damp and it did nothing both times to hold my comb-coils or finger-coil in place.
I did give the product 2 stars because it does smell pretty good. Sad thing is that I can't get my money back. I use it as a hair grease for my scalp. I hope I've been helpful.
Customer Rating: Summary: Kizzi helps your hair Stay Put! Comment: I have been using Carol's Daughter for about 8 months now and I swear by this line! I really like the Kizzi because it slicks down edges, baby hairs and tames frizz. IT ALSO WORKS WONDERS ON BRAIDS! I have been able to keep my cornrows an extra two weeks because I tie my hair with Kizzi every night. Here is the secret: Spary hair with CD Black Vanilla Leave in Conditioner and then use about a quarter size of Kizzi on the edges of the braids all the way down to wear your real hair ends. In the morning your hair will look smooth, polished and shiney!
